Enquiry
An initial exploration of what is currently happening in the organisation or with teams and individuals. We find it can be
very powerful to spend a brief amount of time with people to discover their perspective. We do this through 1-to-1's and focus
groups. Not only do we collect a lot of highly relevent data but very often both the real underlying needs that require consulting
help become very clear but also the appropriate solution. Usually too, the solution is one that is owned by the organisation and we can then
support them powerfully in bringing about change.
For a coaching contract, we like to hold an initial exploratory discussion both with the intending coachee and with his or her line manager or
sponsoring colleague at board/senior team level.
The enquiry process is usually the precursor to active provision of solutions but it can be a stand-alone process followed by a report and can
act as an organisational sensing survey.
